Habari – the Mac OS X of blogs

I did it. I just installed a Habari blog (version 0.6.3). It still lacks a lot of fundamental functions and should not be used in production. But for what I saw, Habari will be the Mac OS X of blogs.

The lack of features is a design decision; have a small core and implement most functionality in plugins. That way people aren’t stuck with functionality they don’t want or need. Having said that, if there’s stuff you think is missing, please let us know.

As for not to be used in production, Habari is being used in production already ;)

je souhait je peux commenter en français ! j’ai commencé apprendre à parler en francais, mais je suis tres mauvais encore :)

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for you comment. I agree with you barebones approach (although Habari is not really barebones). This is one of my complaint with WordPress: too much stuff that you cannot deactivate (for instance, auto-fixing my HTML. I HATE it in WordPress!).

I feel enthousiastic enough about Habari to contribute a little bit – just a little, because of lack of time.

Par ailleurs, ton français n’est pas mauvais (je me permets de te tutoyer. Tu as juste fait une faute de conjugaison en utilisant un indicatif au lieu d’un subjonctif, ce qui est compréhensible si tu commences juste ton apprentissage.
(By the way, your French is not bad (I can get away with using « tu » with you). You only made one conjugation error, by using indicative instead of subjonctive, but this is understandable if you are only debuting French courses)

I am running Habari in production. Worse than that, it’s the latest SVN version.

    Je ne regrette rien
